The decision to sponsor the 2018 Recovery Tow Show seems to have proved, beyond any doubt to have been a successful one for Creative Funding Solutions. We had a very busy and productive two days at the Telford International Centre touching base with existing clients and making new contacts. The Gala dinner gave us the perfect excuse to let our hair down and party the night away to some classic 80’s tunes! That said we were all up bright and early the next day to make the most of the second day of the show and again we enjoyed a positive day with a mixture of existing and new customers.

Since we were back, we certainly saw an upturn in the recovery sector business, stemming from a mix of existing customers, contacts we made at the show and new companies that saw the coverage of the show across all the social media platforms. Creative are confident that we can be the first point of contact in the future for any financial requirements within the recovery industry, our diverse product range and multi-funders credit appetite, along with our personal approach, provide the perfect combination to meet all funding requirements within the industry.
Creative has also decided to make RISC – Recovery Industry Support Charity the main charity we will support, the work they do in the immediate aftermath of a roadside accident that affects a recovery operator is vital and very reassuring for all employees in the industry. We also decided to promote the Slow Down Move Over campaign #SDMO in conjunction with this, and were delighted to see that Paul Anstee was the very worthy recipient of the Tom Johnson Special Recognition Award at the Gala Dinner. We are very proud to say all of our cars now display the campaign sticker Slow Down Move Over, and we continue to promote this through our own social media platforms.
We were also delighted to see that the worthy winner of the Ernest Smith Memorial Trophy was our good friend and customer Andy Nock of Dynes Recovery Group. Samantha Cockerill has been this year’s ‘recovery hero of the year,’ together with Samantha and Andy forms the very reason we need to support RISC and Slow Down Move Over – Samantha’s partner, Steve Godbold was a Dynes employee who sadly lost his life in September 2017 due to a roadside recovery incident. Out of these tragic circumstances, it is uplifting to see the industry unite to ensure everything possible is being done to try to avoid this being a regular horrible consequent of being employed within this sector. The launch of the new Parliamentary group, supported by RISC should hopefully pave the way to give this industry the recognition it deserves to be widely thought of as the 4th emergency service.
Of all the products we have that are tailored to the recovery industry, since the show we most took up on 7-year financing on used vehicles (up to 15 years old at the end of the financing term). We also spoke to many recovery operators about the new ULEZ regulations that will be upon us within the next 6 months, Creative will work hard to provide support to the companies affected by this and have a range of products that will undoubtedly ease the impact this new legislation will have on the recovery sector.
As you will know from our involvement with the show, Creative is all about being visible, we are proud to meet 95 per cent of our customers personally and get to know each customer’s individual requirements before we provide information on the various options available.
Our team is waiting to help and support you with your next financing requirement and we are certainly feeling the passion that each of you shared about this sector, please give us a call to discuss any requirement that you may have now or in the future, we can help.
Mike Lowe, MD of Creative Funding Solutions said, ‘We are absolutely delighted with the response we have had following our decision to be the main show sponsor, we were made to feel so welcome at the show and the Gala dinner and have already started to help support businesses within this sector. We already had existing customers within this industry and we knew our products were a good fit but to now have had that affirmation we are thrilled’.
